EVReader, September 21, 2024 – Chang’an Mazda’s all-new midsize vehicle, the EZ-6, is set to officially open for pre-sale on September 28. This highly anticipated new model has already been produced at the Chang’an Mazda factory in Nanjing and will arrive at various dealerships in the coming days.
As the electrified version of the Mazda 6, the “E” in EZ-6 stands for electric, while the “Z” symbolizes “Zero Emission,” highlighting Mazda’s steadfast commitment to environmental protection. This new vehicle successfully rolled off the production line at the Nanjing factory on July 17. Now, let’s delve into its main features.
The EZ-6 excels in dimensions, with both the pure electric and range-extending models measuring 4921/1890/1485 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2895 mm, providing passengers with ample space. Additionally, it offers eight exterior color options, including Streaming Gold and Bright Moon Grey, along with an electric tail wing, making the overall appearance more fashionable and dynamic.
In terms of smart technology, the EZ-6 is equally impressive. It is equipped with four million-pixel high-definition panoramic cameras and 12 high-performance ultrasonic radars, capable of recognizing up to 108 different types of parking spaces. Furthermore, the vehicle boasts five smart parking functions: automatic parking, remote parking, remote entry and exit, remote intelligent parking, and trace reversing, offering great convenience to drivers.
Inside the cabin, the EZ-6 also showcases high-level configurations. It features a full liquid crystal instrument panel, a 14.6-inch suspended central control screen, and a double-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, allowing drivers to easily control various information while driving. Depending on the version, the vehicle also offers premium configurations such as Sony audio, 64-color ambient lighting, zero-gravity seats, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, providing passengers with an ultimate comfort experience.
In terms of power, the EZ-6 is equally outstanding. The pure electric model is equipped with a motor with a maximum power of 190 kW and optionally comes with a 56.1 kWh or 68.8 kWh battery, corresponding to CLTC pure electric ranges of 480 km and 600 km, respectively. The range-extending model, on the other hand, is equipped with a 1.5-liter range extender with a maximum power of 70 kW and a motor peak power of 160 kW, offering drivers more flexible power options.
