On September 23, 2024, EVReader reported that NIO’s sub-brand LeDao has officially launched its first model, the L60. Positioned as a family-oriented smart electric midsize SUV, the new vehicle has finally met consumers after more than four months of pre-sale. Nationwide deliveries will commence on September 28, and customers who place a large deposit before October 8 will enjoy a special “Founder’s Edition” benefit of 41,538 yuan.
In terms of pricing, the LeDao L60 offers two battery range versions. The standard range version has a range of 555 km and starts at 206,900 yuan (or starts at 149,900 yuan with a battery rental option and a monthly fee of 599 yuan). The long-range version boasts a range of 730 km and starts at 235,900 yuan (with the same battery rental option and monthly fee as the standard range version).
Regarding dimensions, the LeDao L60 measures 4,828 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,616 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. These dimensions make the new vehicle longer and wider than the Model Y, providing a more spacious riding environment. The new SUV comes in seven exterior colors, including Snow Peak White, Polar Silver, and Starry Sky Black, as well as four interior colors such as Tender White, Warm Brown, and Elegant Black, catering to consumers’ personalized needs.
In terms of safety performance, the LeDao L60 has undergone 59 collision test scenarios that exceed industry standards, ensuring comprehensive safety protection. From the outset of its design, the new vehicle prioritized the safety of the second row, providing passengers with a reassuring riding environment.
The LeDao L60 also excels in spatial performance. Even when two 1.8-meter passengers are seated in both the front and rear rows, it easily allows for “legroom freedom” and “in-car strolling freedom.” The new SUV offers 1,046 mm of front headroom, 1,010 mm of rear headroom, and 160 mm of rear legroom, along with a 52L in-car refrigerator. In terms of trunk space, the new vehicle can easily accommodate two 28-inch suitcases, two 24-inch suitcases, and one 20-inch suitcase, achieving “suitcase freedom.”
For the cockpit, the LeDao L60 is equipped with rich technological features. The new SUV features a 13-inch HUD, a 17.2-inch 3K central control screen, and an 8-inch rear entertainment screen, all integrated with the new “NT.Coconut” smart system. Additionally, the new vehicle is equipped with the Qualcomm 8295P high-performance, fully-featured cockpit chip, with AI computing power reaching 60 TOPS, and it comes standard with 24GB of operating memory and 256GB of automotive-grade high-speed storage. These configurations enable the new vehicle to display the central control screen in just 1.45 seconds after opening the door, and the map scrolling and zooming frame rate reaches 60 FPS.
In terms of the operating system, the LeDao L60 is equipped with the SkyOS TianShu operating system across the entire range. This system comprehensively covers vehicle connectivity, control, autonomous driving, digital cockpit, mobile applications, and other whole-vehicle domains, making it a truly leading AI-oriented, vehicle-level, and full-domain operating system. It boasts seven advantages: high bandwidth, low latency, powerful computing with heterogeneous hardware, cross-domain integration, flexible and continuous evolution, high reliability, and information security.
For battery life, the LeDao L60 offers three different battery packs with ranges of 555 km, 730 km, and 1000+ km. The new vehicle features a 900V high-voltage architecture and is equipped with a fully self-developed 900V silicon carbide main electric drive system. Furthermore, the new SUV has challenged the world record for the lowest wind resistance among mass-produced SUVs, achieving a drag coefficient of only 0.229 at 120 km/h. In terms of battery swapping, the new vehicle supports one-click automatic parking into the battery swap platform, allowing the battery swap process to be completed without exiting the vehicle, all in just 3 minutes.
The LeDao L60 also excels in driving experience. The new SUV features the “XingYun” comfortable chassis and a minimum turning diameter of 10.8 meters (officially claimed to be smaller than a MINI car and the smallest in its class), providing drivers with a more flexible driving experience. In terms of intelligent driving, the new SUV comes standard with 30 high-performance sensing hardware and NVIDIA Orin-X smart driving chips (with 254 TOPS of computing power), and uses a lidar-free urban navigation solution. NIO officially states that the LeDao L60 boasts industry-leading parking capabilities, high-speed navigation assistance, and visual urban autonomous driving experiences; it also provides full-scenario NOA navigation assistance, covering 726 cities nationwide.
In terms of power, the LeDao L60 offers two models: a rear-wheel-drive single-motor model and an all-wheel-drive dual-motor model. The rear-wheel-drive single-motor model has a power of 240 kW, while the all-wheel-drive dual-motor model has a total power of 340 kW (with a price increase of 20,000 yuan over the rear-wheel-drive model). These power configurations enable the new vehicle to provide more powerful output and a more stable driving experience during operation.
